Document Analysis

Document analysis prominently features in the court as evidence at many criminal trials including fraud. Forensic examination, reporting and testimony will be required to accurately analyse and identify forged or altered documents. Our experts can identify how a document has been produced. Using stereo microscopy, it is possible to distinguish between original documents and those produced using laser printers, inkjet printers, photocopiers etc. We can also sometimes link documents to the printer which was used to produce them.

Our document analysis services are supported by over 30 years combined academic and forensic experience and allow us to provide you with a conclusive opinion on authorship. Please read our page on Degree of certainty to find our more on this.

We exercise the utmost care in the handling of evidence supplied to us and to ensure that all our document analysis processes are non-destructive and that all returned documents can be used as credible court exhibits.
